Ravens defensive coordinator Wink Martindale has called out Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell over his continued holdout.

While speaking to the media Thursday, Martindale said Bell’s absence is a non-factor in this week’s game and that the Steelers have been, at times, more successful without him.

“There are a lot of stats [since 2015] that the Steelers are actually better without him,” Martindale said. “That might be why he’s riding a jet ski down in Miami right now.”

The Steelers are 4-2-1 without Bell, and much of the credit goes to second-year tailback James Conner, who has 599 rushing yards and nine touchdowns this season.

Bell hasn’t played or practiced this year after the Steelers franchise tagged him for the second year in a row (his tag number is $14.5 million in 2018).

Last year Bell came back right before the regular season started, but this year he has remained in Miami, where he has been training.

A video of Bell emerged of him riding a jet ski by a yacht in Miami during the regular season, which prompted criticism of Bell’s priorities.

The Ravens (4-4) host the AFC North rival Steelers at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
