Who is Josh Lambo?

The Michigan native was born in Lansing on November 19, 1990 – making him 27-years-old.

Lambo was undrafted in 2015 before getting a contract with the San Diego Chargers as a free agent.

He wasted little time taking the starting kicker job, only to lose it to rookie Younghoe Koo last year.

Which Premier League club did Josh Lambo almost join?

As a youngster, Lambo was more interested in association football, or soccer in the US, as opposed to American Football.

As a 14-year-old goalkeeper, he was awarded a contract with Generation Adidas, an MLS-US Soccer joint venture designed to help producing better young talent.

And 12 months later, Lambo earned a trial at Premier League side Everton, thanks to the then-Toffees and USA international shot-stopper Tim Howard.

He ended up signing for FC Dallas in 2008, before being farmed out to FC Tampa Bay.

Further trials at DC United and Sheffield United came to nothing and Lambo retired from football at the age of 21, despite having featured for the United States under-17s.

When are Jacksonville Jaguars playing at Wembley?

A Wembley appearance may have been a far-fetched idea during his soccer days – but Lambo returns to England, expected to start as kicker at the 'Home of Football'.

Jacksonville Jags will play Philadephia Eagles at Wembley on Sunday, October 28.

It is the third week in a row that the England stadium is hosting an NFL match, follwing Seattle Seahawks' win over Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers' victory against Tennessee Titans.

The fixture will start at 1.30pm UK time.
