ARSENAL veteran Lee Dixon claimed “insiders” have leaked how Unai Emery has totally transformed training sessions.

Statistics show how the Spaniard's new approach has improved the endurance of his players during matches this season.

Dixon, who spent 14 years playing for Arsenal, has now revealed what an insider at the club has told him about the boss.

The 55-year-old said: “The training intensity and the accountability in training with what is expected of them has gone up.

“I know that for a fact because I've still got a few people knocking around the training ground that I can ask how things are going.

“The little insider has kind of said training has completely changed in that respect, which I think is a good thing.”

ARSENE WENGER had picked out Carlo Ancelotti to replace him at Arsenal and not Unai Emery, according to reports.

The Frenchman finally departed the Gunners hotseat at the end of last season after 22 years in charge.

Emery, then in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, was the somewhat surprise choice to take over at the Emirates.

And it may never have happened had Wenger had his way.

That is according to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato, who says Wenger had hinted to the Arsenal board who he wanted Ancelotti to get the job.

IN case you missed it, Unai Emery could be set to nab Gelson Martins in the summer with Arsenal offered the chance to sign him at the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid are already understood to be keen on offloading the winger just one year after they brought him in from Sporting Lisbon.

The 23-year-old has failed to convince Diego Simeone of his talents at the Wanda Metropolitano, and he was shipped off on loan in January to Monaco.

Martins has impressed in France – chipping in with three goals and three assists in eight games in all competitions.

Arsenal are long-term admirers of the Portuguese international – having failed to lure him to the Emirates last summer.

It was reported that the forward was furious after the £26million offer was turned down, but it now looks like he will have a second chance to link up with the Gunners.

THE richest sports team owners on the planet have been revealed – and “skint Arsenal” chief Stan Kroenke is on the list.

Forbes have now released their list of the 20 wealthiest club owners, with some surprising results.

Despite Arsenal having not a single penny to spend in the January transfer window, owner Kroenke sits 10th on the list, with a net worth of £6.6BILLION.

Unlike the majority of the other owners on Forbes' list, Kroenke does own more than one team – quite a lot more, in fact.

The American businessman owns the Los Angeles Rams (NFL), Denver Nuggets (NBA), Colorado Avalanche (NHL) and Colorado Rapids (MLS).

ARSENAL wonderkid Folarin Balogun – who is loved by Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang – is at the centre of a three-way international tug-of-war.

The 17-year-old has represented England after being born in New York to Nigerian parents.

He has scored an amazing 22 goals in 23 appearances for the Gunners' academy team this season.

And Aubameyang, Arsenal's record signing, singled out Balogun for praise on social media.

In reply to Arsenal's tweet about Balogun's red hot form, Auba posted saying the teenager was on fire lately.

But despite having played for England in last year's European Under-17s championship, Balogun is undecided on where his international future lies.

ARSENAL head into the international break in good nick as they sit fourth in the Premier League table and have made it safely through to the Europa League last eight.
