AFTER A bon spectacle in France helped Lewis Hamilton leap-frog Sebastian Vettel in the Driver's Championship, the Brit will be aiming to set the pace again in Austria.

He starts in second position behind team-mate Valtteri Bottas at the Red Bull Ring.

When is the Austrian Grand Prix?

The Austrian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, July 1.

The F1 start lights will go out on UK TVs at 2.10pm (3.10pm local time).

The battle for pole starts at 2pm on Saturday.

Practice sessions 1 and 2 will take place on Friday at 10am and 2pm, respectively.

The final practice session will begin just before qualifying, at 11am on Saturday.

What TV channel is the Austrian Grand Prix on and can I live stream it?

Each session of the weekend will be shown live on Sky Sports F1.

Coverage of the race will begin at 12.30pm on Sunday, July 1. You can watch it live on NOW TV with a Sports Day Pass, costing £7.99.

On Friday, June 29, F1 will be on air from 9.45am and on Saturday, June 30, coverage will begin at 10.45am.

The Austrian Grand Prix is also live on Channel 4, which is free for all UK viewers with a TV license.

The 71-lap race will be contested on the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

The circuit has undergone several re-builds and name-changes in its 49-year history, with the latest modification bringing it from the realms of insignificance and back to hosting F1.

Ahead of the race, Hamilton expressed the importance of positioning: “At that track you can't really overtake.

"Even though you've got those long straights, it's very, very difficult to overtake. You can't follow through Turn One.

"It’s going to be about who qualifies where, isn’t it?”
