Ben Stokes rested for Vitality Blast with knee injury but will be fit for England’s Fourth Test against India

BEN STOKES will be rested for the Vitality Blast quarter-finals after picking up a knee problem.

But he is expected to be fully fit for England's Fourth Test against India on August 30.

The all-rounder, 27, impressed after being recalled to the side having been cleared of affray.

Stokes, however, picked up a "niggle at the back of his left knee" and will miss Durham Jets' clash with Sussex Sharks on Friday.

England could have secured the series against the world's No1 Test side but were soundly beaten at Trent Bridge.

They now head to the Ageas Bowl in Southampton holding a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
