Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper had a monster 2017, hitting .319 and posting a 1.008 OPS. This year, he leads the National League with 19 homers but has a eyebrow-raising .217 average and still-good but down .834 OPS. Seeking to shake things up — maybe — Harper has decided to go with a clean-shaven look. And it is quite different.
My take: he pulls it off.
Since shaving Harper is 0-for-4 with a walk so perhaps the growth will come back.
