Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston will be suspended three games by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, according to ESPN.
NFL is planning to suspend Buccaneers’ QB Jameis Winston the first three games of the season for violating the personal conduct policy, league sources tell ESPN.
ESPN’s Tallahassee host Jeff Cameron initially reported Winston was bracing to be suspended – and he will be.

The incident in question surrounding the suspension stems from an accusation by an Uber driver saying Tampa Bay’s quarterback groped her in 2016.
Winston vehemently denied the accusation at the time.
“The story falsely accuses me of making inappropriate contact with this driver,” Winston wrote in a statement. “I believe the driver was confused as to the number of passengers in the car and who was sitting next to her. The accusation is false, and given the nature of the allegation and increased awareness and consideration of these types of matters, I am addressing this false report immediately.”
Winston’s account was suspended by Uber after the incident.
A report surfaced from ESPN Tallahassee earlier in the week saying Winston’s camp was bracing for the quarterback to be suspended by the NFL and it would appear this is exactly what happened.
The Buccaneers signed veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the offseason, so he could see time while Winston is serving his suspension.
