How long will Cristiano Ronaldo be banned for?

Cristiano Ronaldo will be banned for one match following his red card against Valencia.

Uefa will also have the option of extending the ban to two or three games should they deem the incident as warranting further action.

Ronaldo will find out next week how long European football's governing body have chosen to ban him for.

Can Juventus appeal Cristiano Ronaldo's ban?

Unlike in domestic competition, Juventus cannot appeal Cristiano Ronaldo's one-game ban.

Should Uefa decide to extend the ban, Ronaldo will have the right to appeal any extra suspension.

This rule differs to the Premier League where violent conduct, the category under which the Ronaldo incident would be classified, has an automatic three-match ban but with the right of appeal.

Which games will Cristiano Ronaldo miss and will he face Man Utd?

Cristiano Ronaldo will definitely miss Juventus' match at home to Young Boys Bern – their next in the Champions League.

But he will be able to face Manchester United if Uefa decide not to extend the ban.

However, should Uefa decide to act and extend the ban to three games he would find himself missing both the home and away matches against his former club.
