Deontay Wilder says potential Tyson Fury fight will humiliate Anthony Joshua

ANTHONY JOSHUA is being humiliated by Tyson Fury jumping in for a shot at the WBC title, according to American holder Deontay Wilder.

AJ has been targeting the 40-0 Alabama giant since his March win over Joseph Parker left him just one strap short of the whole set.

The WBA, WBO and IBF king wanted April 13 to be the date he and Wilder danced at Wembley.

But the Gypsy King has raced back from almost 1000 days out of action and talked his way into a battle with Wilder, as soon as November.

And the 32-year-old says the British golden boy will be embarrassed by the scheduling shock.

Wilder said: “This is a bigger fight than the Joshua fight. This is a way bigger fight.

Tyson Fury holds open workout in his underpants after announcing intent to fight Deontay Wilder

“Just for Tyson to take this opportunity, and be able to do a deal in a short amount of time, it tells you about his character.

“He’s a true warrior. He’s a true Gypsy King and I can’t wait to share a ring with him.

“Fury’s undefeated and he beat the man that beat the man.

“A lot more people over here in America know Tyson Fury than they know Anthony Joshua.

“It’s easy to see this fight is way bigger than the Joshua fight.

“This is humiliation for Joshua’s side.

“They didn’t want to fight, they didn’t want to let me in the ring, they didn’t want a confrontation with me, they didn’t want to look me in the eye.

“So we’re showing the young boy what it is to be a man, what the requirements of this job are.

“So I hope Joshua and his team are taking notes on what real champions are supposed to do.

“Real kings are supposed to fight each other.”

Wilder’s promoter Shelly Finkel – who AJ’s matchmaker Eddie Hearn has insisted has been a nightmare to deal with – says talks with Fury and Frank Warren have been a doddle.

He said: “I believe it will get done. I think we're close.

"I would hope next week it comes together. It's a big fight, but it's not done until all the paperwork is done.

“So do I think it will get done? Yes. But it's not done. But I am also not aware of any issues. The rematch clause – which is not done yet – will get worked out.

“I think it will get done. The points that matter are done, but it's not done until it's signed."
