Tannehill last appeared in a game Dec. 11, 2016. Tannehill tore his ACL in a practice last August and missed all of 2017.
The Dolphins originally selected Tannehill out of Texas A&M with the eighth pick in the 2012 draft. He has thrown for 106 touchdowns and 66 interceptions in 77 career starts with Miami.
The Dolphins finished last season with a 6-10 record and missed the playoffs with Jay Cutler and Matt Moore under center.
