Draymond Green is expected to be back on the court Friday.
The 28-year-old forward has missed the Warriors’ last three preseason games because of a sore left knee. But, Golden State coach Steve Kerr said Green will return for the team’s final tune-up against the Lakers.
“Draymond’s doing better, and he practiced today,” Kerr said Thursday (via ESPN). “We had a brief practice. We didn’t do any contact, but he’s doing better and he feels good.”
Kerr said he’s happy Green will play before Golden State begins the regular season Oct. 16 against the Thunder.
“The last three games without him it’s created some interesting combinations, which has been good for us to get a longer look at guys,” Kerr said. “But some of the combinations have struggled a little bit. So, Draymond has a way of kind of tying things together out there.”
The Lakers defeated the Warriors 123-113 in preseason action Wednesday.
