EDDIE JONES is warning the England haters that he will prove them wrong.

The under-fire boss aims to lead the Red Rose to a first-ever series victory in South Africa.

Ahead of today's First Test, he said: "Everyone says we can't win, from ex-players to ex-coaches, they're saying we're no good.

"Everyone is bagging us. It's a great opportunity to show we are of value."

Jones has lost his last four games in charge and faces a rebooted Springbok side at their Ellis Park hunting ground in Johannesburg.

Even with blockbusting No 8 Billy Vunipola back for his first Test match in 15 months the Boks are still favourites.

Former Wallabies boss Jones added: "We're playing a South African side in a renaissance period under Rassie Erasmus. It's a great challenge.

"We have got an opportunity to do something special. I never did it with Australia at Ellis Park.

"You've got to win these big games It's a chance to start the march to the World Cup, to take a step forward."
