Hazard, 27, remained at Stamford Bridge following the sacking of Antonio Conte and was convinced to stay for at least 12 more months by fellow Italian Maurizio Sarri.

But it is last chance saloon this season if the Blues miss out on the top four.

His contract expires in the summer of 2020 meaning next summer will be the final chance to cash in or risk losing him for nothing.

Hazard is unlikely to pen a new deal if he is not playing in Europe's most elite competition.

He is not the only player who could head for the exit door depending on their Premier League finish this season.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Willian and Pedro also have contracts until 2020.

The futures of David Luiz and Cesc Fabregas have been called into question with just a year left on their current deals.

Luiz, 31, has been a permanent fixture in Sarri's defence having been shunned by Conte but Fabregas has yet to play a minute of action following the arrivals of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.
