Taylor clinched the WBA,WBC, IBF, WBO, Ring magazine belts and lineal titles in 2005 by beating Bernard Hopkins in but has been dogged with problems in recent years.

Earlier in August Arkansas prosecutors dropped domestic violence charges against the former fighter when his accuser dropped the charges.

The accuser had claimed that in July 2017 Taylor bit her on the arm and face and threatened to kill her.

And, in 2016, Taylor was given concurrent six-year suspended sentences for three separate incidents in 2014 and 2015, after he pleaded guilty to six counts of aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threatening and a second-degree battery charge.

In August 2014, Taylor was accused of shooting his cousin and later faced charges in another gun-related incident when he allegedly shot a gun near a man's head and then pistol-whipped him.

Armed with the nickname Bad Intentions, Taylor went his first 28 professional fights unbeaten before consecutive defeats to Kelly Pavlik.

British superstar Carl Froch beat the American with a thrilling last-gasp KO for the WBC super-middleweight title in 2009.

But Taylor finished his career with five wins on the spin, his last coming in 2014, that left him with a record of 33-4-1.
