Keith McCants was arrested by St. Petersburg, Fla., police early Monday and charged with felony possession of crack cocaine, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
According to the report, the former Buccaneers defensive end also was charged with a second offense of driving with his license suspended or revoked. He was being held on a $2,000 bond for the felony, plus an extra $150 for the license charge.
It’s the ninth time McCants, 50, has been arrested since 2010, most of which were for drug-related offenses.
McCants was a college star at Alabama, earning All-America honors. He was selected fourth overall by the Buccaneers in the 1990 NFL Draft but failed to make an impression. He also played with the Oilers and Cardinals before his career ended in 1995.
