Formula E New York E-Prix preview: Race time, TV Channel, When is it and information for weekend in America

FORMULA E is set for a nail-biting finale in New York as Sam Bird can sabotage Jean-Eric Vergne's title-winning party in the states.

The Brit heads to the double-header in the US with the same points gap, 23, as Lucas Di Grassi had at this stage last year before he beat Sebastien Buemi to the title.

The DS Virgin Racing driving star won both street races in New York last year – giving him the confidence to knock his Techeetah rival off top spot to become the first Brit to win the Formula E Drivers' Championship.

Not only are the former teammates battling it out to be crowned champion, but the all-electric series will also wave goodbye to the current car as they welcome the Gen2 car for next season.

What time is the double-header on and where can I watch it?

The first of the double headers is on Saturday, July 14, and the second is on Sunday, July 15.

Spike is televising the race and qualifying for both events.

Saturday's qualifying will be on TV from 4.15pm and the race will be aired at 8pm, UK time.

Meanwhile Sunday's qualifying is at 3.45pm, ahead of the final race of the season which is on at 7.30pm.
