Patrick Cantlay and Patrick Reed are tied for first at the Hero World Challenge after shooting 7-under 65s at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas during Round 1 on Thursday.

Cantlay finished strong with a birdie on five of his last six holes. It all started on 13 with a very nice approach shot.

Reed finished the day with eight birdies and one bogey. In his final 12 holes of the day, he never went longer than two holes without making a birdie. He closed out his round with a nice birdie at the 18th.

Tiger Woods, however, never really got going. He struggled with his putter and with his approach shots as well. He didn’t tally a birdie until the sixth hole and had two bogeys in his first five.

A triple-bogey at the 12th was the true lowlight of his day, but he finished on a decent note with a birdie on two of his final four holes.

Henrik Stenson and Dustin Johnson are tied for third at 4 under and three shots back of the leaders. Rickie Fowler is tied for 13th after an even-par 72.
