Houston Open: Beau Hossler, Ian Poulter grab Round 3 lead

Ian Poulter shot a 7-underneath sixty five Saturday on the Houston Open to grab a share of the lead with Beau Hossler at 14 beneath.

After an eight-underneath sixty four Friday, Poulter remained scorching with a bogey-free effort. Poulter held the Round 3 lead for hours earlier than Hossler birdied his ultimate gap to grab a share of the lead.

Emiliano Grillo, Paul Dunne, Kevin Tway and Greg Chalmers are all tied for third at 12 beneath. Chalmers shot a 7-beneath sixty five Saturday to shoot up the leaderboard.

Henrik Stenson and Matt Kuchar remained in rivalry at eleven underneath after matching 3 beneath 69s. Stenson birdied three of his final six holes in Round 3.

Jordan Spieth, nonetheless struggling together with his putter, shot a 1-beneath seventy one to get to 10 underneath for the event. Rickie Fowler completed the day at 9 beneath after a sloppy triple-bogey eight on the par-5 thirteenth.
