Japan GP qualifying: Lewis Hamilton on pole as Sebastian Vettel down in NINTH

LEWIS HAMILTON will start the Japan GP on pole but Sebastian Vettel will be way back at ninth on the grid.

The Brit, 33, performed well as the rain began to fall at Suzuka but the Ferrari man struggled to control his car and faces an uphill task to keep the championship race competitive.
