Jason Day finds the bottom of the cup, literally, after hitting into fan’s drink at Masters

JASON DAY finds the bottom of the cup, quite literally, after hitting into a fan's drink.

The former world No1's wayward drive on the first hole of the first round of the Masters ended up at the bottom of a beer.

Day, 30, at least saw the funny side as he went to collect his ball from the beaming patron.

And the supporter even chugged from his cup – while being applauded by the gallery – before the Australian put it back in play.

Day was told he had to identify his ball before using it again on the hole.

The fan clearly thought this would be easier if the cup was empty!

Day came into this year's Masters looking for his first green jacket.

And he did so with some behind-the-scenes changes.

He has good friend Rika Batibasaga on the bag, who was also his caddie for the win at Torrey Pines and runner-up finish at Pebble Beach.

Day said: "Hopefully that will make things a little bit lighter out there for me and a little bit more fun for me.
