Westwood stormed to the lead today with an eagle and six birdies as he posted an eight-under-par round to leapfrog Garcia and Louis Oosthuizen.

Speaking on his 24th European Tour win, Westwood claimed: "I'm a bit emotional to be honest, you're never sure whether you're going to be able to do it again.

"Until now my emotions felt really under control all day, which is what I've been working hard on."

This is not the first time the former world No1 has turned to his other half to caddie for him either.

Storey caddied for Westwood at the Made in Denmark event in September after giving usual partner Billy Foster the week off.

Fitness fanatic Storey got the gig in January last year when she looped for Westy in Abu Dhabi and did it again in Denmark in September.

And she was at it again in South Africa as she oversaw another brilliant win from Westwood.

Storey and Westwood got together in late 2015 after Westwood got divorced from his wife Laurie, sister of former European Tour pro Andrew Coltart.

It is thought Worksop-born Westy and Storey got together through Westwood's mate Graham Wylie, who is married to Storey's sister.

And if nothing else it appears to have given the former best player in the world something of a renaissance.
