Mido mobbed by Tottenham fans on tube who serenade him with chant after thrashing Chelsea

EX-TOTTENHAM striker Mido had fans singing his name on the tube back from Wembley last night.

Mido, 35, jumped on the underground after watching his former side thump Chelsea and end the Blues' unbeaten start to the season.

He was spotted by a group of supporters who chanted for the Egyptian who spent two seasons at White Hart Lane between 2005 and 2007.

They sang: "We love you Mido, we do. We love you Mido, we do. We love you Mido, we do. Oh Mido, we love you."

Mido tweeted a video he took while sat on the Metropolitan line, presumably from Wembley Park back to central London.

Tottenham fan Gareth Lammas was the man to pick out the former Ajax, Marseille and Roma star who then played for five different English sides.

 Mido was a fan-favourite during his two seasons at White Hart Lane and went on to play for four other English sides

Lammas tweeted Mido and said: "Pleasure singing to you and meeting you!! Unfortunately it was me that spotted you!! Pleasure meeting you up the Spurs!!"

Mido, Lammas and the majority of the carriage appeared in good spirits after watching Tottenham dispatch Chelsea at their temporary home.

Dele Alli headed in the opener before Harry Kane scored yet another goal in a London derby to make it 2-0 at half-time.

Son Heung-min made it three with a fine solo effort before former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud scored a consolation late on.
