Angels star Mike Trout is going to miss his fifth straight game Monday, and the Angels have decided they need him back tight now.

Los Angeles announced that Trout received a cortisone injection Monday morning for his ailing right wrist, and his status remains day-to-day.

The Angels have lost six of their last seven games, and three out of four without Trout. Likely out of the postseason picture, the Angels would still like to get Trout back quickly to help excite fans.

Trout is currently slashing .309/.459/.624 with 82 runs scored, 30 home runs, 60 RBIs and 21 stolen bases. He originally injured his wrist on Wednesday.
