The Braves have signed another veteran to their roster.
Atlanta and third baseman Josh Donaldson have reached a one-year, $23 million deal, the team announced Monday.

The $23 million will match what Donaldson made in his final year of arbitration last season. According to USA Today, Donaldson can re-establish his value if he can make it through the year without any serious injuries.
A one-time hot commodity, Donaldson has spent the last two seasons riddled with injures. His longtime team, the Blue Jays, traded him to the Indians last season before the Aug. 31 trade deadline.
The 2015 American League MVP hit .246/.352/.449 and eight home runs with 23 RBIs in 52 games with both teams, with his season being derailed by a calf injury that kept him out for three months.
Donaldson likely will split time with current Braves third baseman Johan Carmago.
