The Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard Indianapolis Motor Speedway was postponed Sunday due to inclement weather. The race will now take place Monday at 2 p.m. ET.
The original start time of the race was pushed up an hour in an effort to avoid the wet weather. But rain continued throughout the day and the track was ruled undrivable.
The remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon have affected the entire schedule at Indianapolis this weekend. Practice runs and qualifying were canceled because of the rain while the NASCAR Xfinity Series race was also moved to Monday.
With qualifying canceled, the field will be set on points. Kyle Busch will start first and be followed by Kevin Harvick.
Drivers will enter Monday’s race with 14 of 16 spots set in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
