NASCAR at New Hampshire: Live weather delay updates from Foxwoods Resort Casino 301

If Mother Nature ever lets up, NASCAR’s Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will commence at some point this afternoon.

The race, originally schedule for 2 p.m. ET, was moved back an hour due to weather concerns, but has since been delayed because of the ongoing precipitation on the track. It might take more than an hour, according to ESPN.

Kurt Busch will start in a great position for the race after winning his third pole of the season. He’s still trying to get his first win of the season, but with three top-fives and 10 top-10s, a first-place finish is certainly in the cards.

Right next to him will be Martin Truex Jr., who’s coming off his second consecutive win at Kentucky. Kyle Busch, who has five wins so far this season, will start third. Kevin Harvick, who won at Phoenix and finished fifth at Richmond, two tracks that are similar to New Hampshire’s, will start 14th.

We have some progress, folks!

ESPN’s Bob Pockrass estimates the rain will need to stop by 4 p.m. ET for the race to happen.

The rain is back, unfortunately.

Though the weather has continued to delay the start of the race, it’s likely that there will still be a race today.

The race is officially on a weather delay.

When it rains, it pours. Looks like the precipitation is starting earlier than expected in New Hampshire.
