NASCAR results at Pocono: Martin Truex Jr. holds off Kyle Larson for victory

Kyle Busch thought all of the drama was taken out of the race in Stage three. 

He could not have been anymore fallacious.

When Kyle Larson clipped Derrick Cope leading to a warning late within the race, each driver received a chance to enter pit street and alter their tires. What might have resulted was a stagnant final 35 laps of the race or so. What truly ensued was a run of cautions and quite a few lead modifications. One driver described it as a “s— present.”

It was a battle Martin Truex Jr. was capable of win. It was his second win in three races at Pocono and his second win of the season. It was the seventeenth win of his profession.

“The No. four, the 18, the seventy eight, we went at all of it day lengthy,” Truex advised FS1 after the race. “Luckily we got here out on prime today so it was fairly superior.”

In all of the craziness within the last laps Denny Hamlin, Erik Jones and Alex Bowman have been all concerned in wrecks. Kyle Larson completed second whereas Kyle Busch was third and Kevin Harvick was fourth.

A bit of additional again within the pack was William Byron who completed a strong 18th. Byron is within the operating for the Sunoco Rookie of the Yr with Bubba Wallace Jr. Wallace was unable to complete the race as he shifted into the incorrect gear and tousled his engine in Stage three.
