The NBA Board of Governors will vote on some rule changes that will directly affect the game starting in the 2018-19 season, Yahoo Sports reported, citing league sources.
From Sept. 20-21, the Board will vote to change the shot clock reset from 24 seconds to 14 seconds for an offensive rebound.
It will also vote on simplifying the clear path foul rule and further defining the “hostile act” for instant replay purposes.
The league’s competition committee unanimously proposed the changes to the Board, according to the report.
For any of the new rules to pass, two thirds of the NBA teams will need to vote in favor of them.
