Respected NFL reporter Ian Rapoport has provided an update on the person inside the suit's condition.

And it is not good.

He tweeted yesterday: "The mascot is still dealing with jaw, neck and back soreness and was checked for a concussion.

"As of this morning, he was still planning on being in Atlanta for the Super Bowl."

And one person responded: "He should have to sit on the sidelines for that dirty hit.

"It doesn't mater that Pat is a mascot, he is still a person in there."

Adams was signing autographs during a practice session in Florida when fans began booing Pat Patriot.

The safety played to the crowd by flying into the mascot, delivering the injuries.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski – gearing up for Sunday's showdown against the LA Rams in Atlanta – has now pledged revenge.

Asked about the hit on the mascot, Gronk said: "I saw that. It wasn't very nice.

"We're going to have to figure out a way to get revenge. I mean, that was not nice what he did. I heard the guy got seriously hurt."

However, there was good news as the mascot today tweeted saying he had made it.
