The Flames have locked up All-Star defenseman Noah Hanifin to a long-term deal, Calgary announced Thursday.

According to Sportsnet, the deal is worth $4.95 million per year.
Hanifin was the No. 5 overall pick by the Hurricanes in 2015.
He was named to his first All-Star team in 2018 after scoring 10 goals and adding 22 assists.
The 21-year-old has scored 18 goals and added 65 assists in his young career.
