The Oilers have added a defenseman.
Edmonton has acquired Chris Wideman from the Senators, the team announced Thursday. Ottawa received a conditional sixth round 2020 draft pick in the deal.
Wideman has tallied two goals and three assists in 19 games for the Senators this season.

Wideman has spent all four of his NHL seasons in Ottawa. He has registered 43 points in 175 career appearances.
The Oilers entered play Thursday with a 10-10-1 record while the Senators stand at 9-10-3.
