New England fans can expect to see Tom Brady in action Thursday.
During his Tuesday appearance on WEEI, the Patriots quarterback said he “absolutely” plans to play against the Eagles in the team’s second preseason game.
Brady has taken on a lighter workload at training camp and did not participate in practice last Friday and Saturday. It had been reported that Brady didn’t play in last week’s preseason opener against the Redskins because of a sore back, though the injury was not believed to be serious and he said he’s fine.
“I’m doing well,” Brady said. “I am doing really well. You always have little things that you’re working through.”
The Patriots are slated to host the reigning champion Eagles in a Super Bowl 53 rematch at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday.
