The Raiders will be without Donald Penn for the next eight weeks.

The team announced Wednesday it has placed the right tackle on the injured reserve after he suffered a groin injury in Sunday’s 45-42 overtime win against the Browns.

Penn has been injury-plagued throughout the entire season, suffering a concussion, a foot injury and now the groin injury.

It’s the second time in two games that Penn had to exit early and it’s the third season in a row he has missed significant time due to an injury.

Third-round pick Brandon Parker is expected to take over at Penn’s position.

In a corresponding move, the team signed offensive lineman Ian Silberman off the Titans’ practice squad.
