It took one game longer than normal, but the Dodgers 5-2 victory over the Rockies has given them their sixth consecutive NL West division title.

The Dodgers raced out to a five-run lead behind of a pair of two-run home runs from Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy in the fourth and fifth inning respectively.

Rookie Walker Buehler took center stage, befuddling the Rockies hitters and carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Charlie Blackmon’s single was the lone hit that Buehler allowed in 6 2/3 frames.

Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story added some drama in the ninth inning by connecting on back-to-back home runs off of Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen, but Jansen settled down and retired the next three to end the game.

With the win, the Dodgers will advance to the NLDS to take on the Braves, and the Rockies will have to hop on a flight to Chicago to take on the Cubs in a win-or-go-home wild card game on Tuesday night.
