Italian Molinari combined with England's Tommy Fleetwood to make the dream 'Moliwood' pairing at Le Golf National.

Together they became the best European duo ever after winning all four games – including beating Tiger Woods three times.

And Molinari put the icing on the cake with a 4&2 win over the dreadful Phil Mickelson in the singles.

Molinari is the first player from either side to claim five points at a Ryder Cup since the USA's Larry Nelson in 1979.

And asked if this was the best best feeling he had had in golf, he said: "No doubt.

"This means more than Majors, more than anything. It’s been an incredible week.

"But it's not about individual achievements. I already won the Ryder Cup twice without scoring a full point before this week. We do it together. We do it as a group.

"I've been kind of carried by the other guys the other two times I was on the winning side.
