Who is singing 'America the beautiful'?

Chloe X Halle will have the honour of singing the US patriotic song prior to the Super Bowl.

They are sisters from California who make up a Grammy-nominated young R&B duo.

The siblings released their first album this year and have performed as an opening act during Beyonce and Jay Z tours.

Chloe X Halle have also appeared in American TV sitcoms such as 'Grownish'.

What is the song about and why do they sing it?

This is a patriotic US song that has become part of the pre-game Super Bowl tradition.

The song is usually performed immediately prior to the US national anthem just minutes before kick-off.

It was written in the 19th century and published in 1910, but grew in popularity when Bing Crosby released a version in the 1960s.
