Tiger Woods made the cut at The Northern Trust in the first round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, but he is far from contention at this point.
The 14-time major champion shot an even-par 71 at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey on Friday to finish the first two rounds at even par.
Woods managed to make just two birdies on the day to go with two bogies as he finished the day in a tie for 67th.

The 42-year-old is 10 shots back of leader Jamie Lovemark, who is 10 under for the tournament after back-to-back 5-under 66s.
Adam Scott is in second at 9 under.
Woods entered the week 20th in the FedEx Cup standings.
