The giant golfer watched in amazement as his shot bounced back off the edge of the green and trundled down towards the hole before dropping into the cup.

Reacting to the jubilant scenes on the course, Finau, 28, launched into a celebration dash down the fairway as his wife and kids cheered on the tee box behind him.

But as he jumped in jubilation the Utah golfer landed badly on his left ankle, which visibly collapsed under his weight and dislocated.

Fans cheering from the sidelines then watched as Finau amazingly looked at the bone sticking out then popped it back into place.

Finau then got to his feet and started limping back towards to his family as they raced down, still none the wiser about what had happened.

He managed to limp his way back towards his adoring kids and gave them all a hug as the euphoria continued.

But Finau now faces a race to make sure he is fit enough to tee up when The Masters 2018 begins on Thursday.

Fortunately he is among the final groups due to go out, with his scheduled start time alongside Bernhard Langer and Yuta Ikeda at 12.43pm local time.
