Travelers Championship: Bubba Watson shoots 7 under in final round to score victory

Stewart Cink jumped up the leaderboard Sunday at the Travelers Championship, but Bubba Watson came away with the tournament victory.

Watson shot a 7-under 63 in the final round to capture the win at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT. The victory is Watson’s third of the season.

Cink, Beau Hossler, J.B. Holmes and Paul Casey all finished in a tie for second at 14 under overall.

Watson pulled into the lead with eight birdies Sunday, five of which came on the back nine. He recorded just one bogie in his round.

Cink shot three consecutive 68s to open the tournament. But, he finished with a round-best 8-under 62 to finish just behind Watson.

Cink notched birdies on six of the first seven holes Sunday and tallied 10 total in his round.

Casey entered the day with a four-stroke lead. But he shot his worst round of the tournament Sunday, a 72, registering three bogeys and one birdie.

Rory McIlroy finished the tournament tied for 12th at 11 under while Brooks Koepka ended the final round in a tie for 19th at 9 under.
