Friday’s game between the Giants and Dodgers lasted three hours and 16 minutes, but no one truly felt the length of that game quite like home plate umpire Brian Knight.

And yet, he found a way to finish the game.

It isn’t exactly clear when he suffered the injury, but from the seventh inning on there were seven pitching changes and another 93 pitches thrown.
It was an eventful end to the night and one Knight had to do with a broken foot.
Knight was replaced by Ed Hickox for Saturday’s Giants and Dodgers matchup. The Dodgers trail the Rockies by one game for the National League West lead.
