The Rams are 4-0 for the first time since the 2001 season — a season in which they advanced to the Super Bowl — after defeating the Vikings 38-31 on Thursday in Los Angeles.
Quarterback Jared Goff led another impressive LA offensive performance, throwing for 465 yards and five touchdowns, both career highs, on 26-of-33 passing. Four of those scores came in an all-offense first half that featured 48 combined points.
Goff finished with a perfect 158.3 passer rating.
MORE: Three takeaways from Rams’ victory
The Rams utilized their multiple playmakers in coach Sean McVay’s offense as four different players scored touchdowns. Cooper Kupp caught two scoring passes from Goff while Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods and Todd Gurley each had one.
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was a standout, as well; he finished 36 for 50 for 422 yards and three touchdowns. The teams combined for 1,002 yards of net offense.
Dan Bailey kicked three field goals to help keep Minnesota in the game.
The Rams are one of three undefeated teams remaining in the NFL this season, along with the 3-0 Dolphins and Chiefs.
Thursday’s game also marked the first time an all-female broadcast team called an NFL game. Andrea Kremer and Hannah Storm were on the microphones for the Amazon Prime live stream.
