When is the Davis Cup?

The next round of matches in the 2018 Davis Cup will take place between September 14-16.

Among the games are the World Group semi-finals with France taking on Spain and Croatia facing the United States for a place in November's final.

There is also World Group play-offs, where teams are playing for the chance to be in the top tier next year.

In the continental zones, there will be nations fighting to either remain in Group I or gain promotion to it.

Who will Great Britain face?

Great Britain will face Uzbekistan in their World Group play-off at Glasgow's Emirates Arena.

The 2015 winners lost to Spain in the first round of the World Group on February, seeing them face a potential relegation.

Should they lose against Uzbekistan, they will fall into the Europe/Africa Zone for the first time since 2013.

Is Andy Murray playing?

The two-time Wimbledon champion will not be playing against Uzbekistan, as he continues his recovery from hip surgery – Kyle Edmund will also miss out with tonsillitis.

Dan Evans will make his Davis Cup return after his 12-month ban, joining Cameron Norrie and Jay Clarke for the singles matches.

Jamie Murray and Dominic Inglot are the double specialists to be called up by Smith.

Uzbekistan's team includes former world number 33 Denis Istomin.
