Who is Tim Mickelson?

Tim Mickelson is now the caddie for brother Phil.

Before this he was an agent for fellow golfer Jon Rahm for 17 months and is a former golf coach at Arizona State.

Tim also used to play golf and was part of the 1999 Buick Invitational but missed the cut.

How long has he caddied for brother Phil?

Brother Tim became full-time caddie for Mickelson in December 2017.

The decision was made four or five months after becoming a caddie part time for the five-time major winner.

It was first thought he would utilise his brother in the sport term until the end of the year but Mickelson changed his mind.

Speaking at the time, Mickelson said: "The last four months or five months have been so much fun and I've enjoyed having Tim work with me so much.

"He is a really good caddie. He knows my game very well, he knows what I do – what I should do."

Who was the golfer's previous caddie?

Mickelson split with longtime caddie Jim "Bones" Mackay in June 2017.

He had been caddie for the American for 25 years and been there for all five of his major championships (the 2004, 2006 and 2010 Masters, 2005 PGA and the 2013 Open Championships.

He was given the nickname Bones in 1990 when Fred Couples could not remember his name.

When they parted company, it was originally believed that the pair had fallen out but both have spoken highly about the other since.

Speaking about Mackay, Mickelson told the press soon after the split: "I’ve cherished these last 25 years together with Bones.

"We’ve gone through highs and lows on the course. We’ve gone through highs and lows off the course.

"So we have this relationship that spreads (beyond) a lot more than just golf.

It goes out into a real friendship."
