The Pennsylvania hero turned his hand to professional wresting in 2014 and rebranded himself the King Of Bros.

After impressing wrestling fans on the American independent circuit with promotions like Monster Factory and Evolve, WWE gave the father-of-three a trial that did not result in a contract.

But Ringside News and Bodyslam.net are reporting Riddle will be offered a deal by WWE’s developmental squad NXT.

Riddle has his cancelled his upcoming independent bookings and removed items from his online store, raising speculation of the move.

The MMA ace starred on UFC show The Ultimate Fighter before moving onto the main roster and compiling an 8-3 record with two no contests.

The two no contests were both victories for Riddle but the results were overturned after he tested positive for cannabis.

Riddle’s chequered history with failed tests is allegedly the reason WWE has not snapped up his undoubted talent before now.
